California Proposition 65 Warning
Please be advised that some of our products may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. While the risk is very low, we are required by California law to include this warning label on our products in compliance with California’s Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
Proposition 65 was enacted to ensure that customers are informed about potential exposure to chemicals that are known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The chemicals that may be found in our products are present in many other everyday items, and the exposure levels are far below the ‘no significant risk’ levels determined by California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA).
For more information about Proposition 65, we suggest visiting the OEHHA website at www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
Emissions Compliance
At RJWC Powersports, we pride ourselves on the quality, performance, and compliance of our products. We manufacture aftermarket exhausts for off-road vehicles, acknowledging that these products may affect emissions. As such, we strive to comply with global and regional regulations affecting our industry, including those related to emissions and environmental protection.
Global Warning
Given our worldwide distribution, RJWC Powersports, nor any of its subsidiaries, can guarantee that our products comply with the air and/or noise emissions laws or labeling laws of every jurisdiction. We strongly advise purchasers to inform themselves about the applicable laws in their region and to ensure compliance with those laws.
United States and California Warning
In the United States, especially in California, various federal and state laws regulate the use of aftermarket exhaust parts and systems. We urge our customers to consult these laws before installing our aftermarket parts to ensure full compliance.
In California, laws prohibit the use of aftermarket exhaust parts that modify, remove, or replace original equipment catalysts unless approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). RJWC Powersports does not claim that any of our parts or systems have received such approval.
Resources and Regulations
We strongly recommend that customers, especially those in California, visit the CARB website at https://www.arb.ca.gov/homepage.htm for additional information regarding emissions regulations. The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) also provides a valuable resource that clarifies the use and sale of exhaust systems in California. You can find this document on the MIC website or by contacting them at memberservices@mic.org.
Final Statement
RJWC Powersports takes no responsibility for the violation of any laws incurred by the use of our products. It’s your responsibility as a dealer or consumer to stay informed about current regulations. While we do our best to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we strongly encourage you to consult CARB, MIC, or a legal professional for the most current and comprehensive guidance.
